A lower denture with two dental implants designed to hold it down tightly. Two dental implants is the minimum needed to hold a denture in place. We usually recommend three to four to give you the best results. With a lower denture, every time you eat, drink, speak, or just move your tongue, the floor of your mouth moves and dislodges the lower denture. Due to an accident this young woman had some missing teeth and had worn a partial denture for a few years. She developed gum disease over time and a few of her teeth had become sore and loose. We sedated her, and removed her remaining teeth. At the same appointment we delivered a temporary immediate denture for her. Her smile was restored, as was her self confidence. From her first appointment to the sedation visit, it took only three days to have everything completed. Amazingly, she did not have one sore spot from her denture during her post op visit. Very nice lady with a great new smile.

This is a very interesting case. This young lady had a fear of the dentist and had let her two front teeth decay to a point where she needed root canals and crowns to fix them. Root canals did not appeal to her and she chose to have her two front teeth removed and have a partial denture fabricated instead. We designed the two denture teeth to fit slightly into the extraction sites, so that denture teeth would appear to be more natural in appearance, and so that there would be no pink acrylic showing. Pink acrylic is a dead giveaway that something is not real, that someone has a partial in their mouth. In this case, it is very difficult to tell if she has a partial in her mouth, or if her two front teeth are her real teeth. Nice case and a very happy patient.

This patient had some missing teeth from his days as a professional football player. His remaining teeth were very strong and together, we decided to keep his teeth and make a partial denture. The end result is a very masculine looking partial denture that the patient was very happy to have in his mouth. Very nice smile!

This patient just wanted to get her smile back. We made her a new upper cosmetic denture and a new lower partial to replace her missing teeth. Her new teeth gave her confidence and self esteem back again.

This young lady had a case of advanced gum disease and infected teeth. She was very aware of the discoloration in her front teeth, which made smiling very difficult for her. With the help of sedation dentistry, we removed the diseased teeth and placed an immediate temporary denture for her. She will wear the temporary denture for about six months and then have a new cosmetic denture fabricated. She was very pleased with her new smile and regained her self confidence with her smile.

This patient wanted to be able to smile, laugh and chew his food, without the worry of his dentures falling down and embarrassing him. He had several dental implants placed in the bone of his upper arch. Four months later we placed small button like attachments in his denture so he could snap his upper denture in place. His denture can still be removed, but only with a great effort on his part to pull them down. Dental implants can greatly change the quality of your life if you wear dentures. The difference is night and day, especially if use the dental implants to hold in your lower denture. Great result for a really nice guy.

This gentleman came in to see us with a very unique looking denture. It was designed to give him a very different look. A Cro-Magnon look! He was not very happy with the results and wanted to see if we could help him get his old, more normal look back for him. We borrowed gold teeth from one of his older dentures and placed them in a new denture for him. I should have taken a picture of the denture he was wearing when he initially walked into our office. It was the strangest looking denture that I ever have seen. Somehow, that photograph was overlooked and I will have to take the picture another day.

This patient has been fighting gum disease for many years and putting off the placement of an upper denture. Eventually he had no choice as his teeth started to hurt him. Reluctantly, we extracted his teeth and made him a temporary denture to replace his missing teeth.

This was a difficult denture case. It was difficult because this young woman was very small and had a very gummy smile. With a denture, the gums are represented by the pink acrylic that holds the denture teeth in place. As you can see in the before photograph, she shows A LOT of pink acrylic denture material. This looks very unnatural and fake. We improved her appearance by utilizing slightly larger teeth, whiter teeth, and a much higher quality set of teeth. The higher quality teeth will reflect light differently than cheap teeth and look much more natural to others when they look at you. Cheap denture teeth just look like cheap, fake teeth! When we finished with her new set of teeth, she still had a little bit of pink denture acrylic showing when she smiled, but much much less than what she had with her old set of dentures. She was very happy!
