Cosmetic Denture, Sedation Dentistry, Gum Disease
This patient has had various issues with work from the past. The teeth were discolored, uneven and new decay was forming. The biggest issue, however, with this patient, has been periodontal (gum disease) disease. Due to the loss of bone from gum disease this patient could not save her upper teeth. She chose to have all of her work completed with sedation dentistry. We have been able to have the teeth match her existing teeth for a natural smile that she can be proud of. She is now able to smile with comfort and confidence. 6Cosmetic Denture, Sedation Dentistry, Gum Disease This patient presents with loose and missing teeth. She is unable to smile or even eat comfortably. This patient has been diagnosed with severe periodontal (gum disease) disease. We were unable to save the teeth due to the severe bone loss and had to treatment plan her for complete dentures. One reason this patient had neglected her oral health was due to a great fear of the dentist. With the help of sedation dentistry, she was able to have all her work completed comfortably, with no memory of her visit to the dental office. After extracting all of her teeth, we were able to place complete dentures on the top and bottom during the same visit. She can now smile with confidence. |
