This patient wanted to be able to smile, laugh and chew his food, without the worry of his dentures falling down and embarrassing him. This young lady had some missing teeth on her lower right jaw. She did not want to cut on her remaining teeth for a bridge because they were in pristine condition. This is an interesting dental implant that you do not see very often. This is called a blade implant, and it was placed sometime in the 1980’s. The two teeth that were splinted to the implant finally gave out and we had to replace the crown and bridge work sitting on top of everything. Pretty neat, still going strong for this patient.

This patient was having a difficult time eating due to his dentures moving and sliding when he would eat or drink. Denture adhesives were not strong enough to keep his dentures in place and for him to feel comfortable when he was out eating with friends and family.
