This patient presents with very short looking teeth. This really compromises her smile. In her case there is extra gum tissue that is covering the enamel of her teeth. We removed the excess gum tissue (gingivectomy) and allow the natural tooth to be seen. In this case at least 5mm of tissue was removed over the front teeth. Although the picture may look painful, this procedure has very little post operative discomfort. Very dramatic results from a very simple procedure.
