This patient had not been to the dentist in over 12 years. She had a fear that developed as a young child. She wanted to be able to smile again like she did when she was a kid. We were able to complete all of her dental work in one visit with sedation dentistry. We performed a deep cleaning to address the years of neglect. A gingivectomy ( gum reshaping) was completed to remove the excess gum tissue that caused her teeth to look short. Look at the difference! She now has a clean natural smile. To address the discoloration of her teeth this patient could now consider having Lumineers (veneers) placed on her front teeth.
